The best method, which you can use next year, is to let all your watches expend their power reserve until they stop running.


Then the next day, check the stopped time on each watch. As that time of day approaches, get the watch out and get ready. About 5 seconds before the indicated time on the watch, start winding like crazy.

Then when the minute turns over, screw or push in the crown to start the watch.

That’s it, no damage risk at all!

Changing dates, OTOH, can be a real pain. If you miss, you have to wait a full month.
