For sale is a very good condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex Air-King 40. The random serial 116900 is not accompanied by box or papers, and was produced sometime between 2016 and 2022.
The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed polished smooth steel bezel. The Air-King is mounted on its original brushed steel Oyster bracelet, which is secured by a deployment clasp and features a 5mm Easylink extension. The Oyster bracelet contains 11 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7.25 inch wrist. The Air-King features a black dial with painted white Arabic minute markers in lue of hour markers, except for at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, which are denoted by applied polished 18 karat white gold arabic numeral hour markers. In addition, the dial features polished white gold Chromalight luminescent coated hands. A unique aspect of the Air-King’s dial is that its design was inspired by the gauge cluster of the Bloodhound SSC turbojet powered car, which was designed to break the land speed record by traveling in excess of 1,000 MPH !
The movement used in the 116900 is the Rolex Caliber 3131, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve, and is running flawlessly.
Overall the Air-King is in very good condition with the only sign of previous wear being some faint surface level hairline scratches on the high polished bezel and on the clasp, which could easily be removed by a light refinish.
