Well,I’m with you OP… I can’t discern replacement parts polish etc etc.
I enjoy the posts over on the vintage forum as the folks there really know their stuff. Inevitably someone posts a watch they are interested in buying and it’s ripped to shreds
I digress.
It looks like a fine watch to me, but I’d ask as many questions of Bob’s as you can, and compare to other examples you come across.
There are a good number of trusted sellers here that can assist you in finding a pristine example, but you’ll pay for it
