Hey
I used to have a Big Block. Great watch.
1) You could try to source an OEM crystal online (eBay, TRF, etc). You will occasionally see them for sale as this is not a rare watch/reference.
2) Sometimes independent watchmakers can access watchmaker specific forums, threads, WhatsApp chats where they buy/sell/trade parts amongst other watchmakers.
3) It would be ideal if you could find an independent watchmaker with a parts account, but I am learning that this is becoming more and more rare. I know some great independent watchmakers, but I don’t know anyone specifically (can anyone help?) who can order and buy OEM Rolex/Tudor parts directly from Rolex/Tudor. Most of the time when an independent watchmaker says they can “source” OEM Rolex parts, it’s usually a combination of 1) or 2) or their own personal stockpile of parts they have acquired over the years.
