I did exactly this and heard back from them yesterday. will cost me $1k which is more than I wanted but it will be like new....

And just for others, sometimes some great watches can be had from private sellers. One owner watches will all the records to me can be better that a watch from a very trusted reseller that has passed through many hands. I like knowing the provinance, and this is now my second private seller transaction that has been great. Although I sweated a bit, turns out this guy was just super communicative.
