The micro fiber will not. Dirt and grit embedded in it will.

Have to keeo this stuff in perspective. Yes, it's good to clean your watch from time to time (weekly for me) with soap and water. Being in constant contact with your skin it gets dirty. Aside from gross factor of wearing something really dirty and covered with dead skin and oil, that stuff attracts grit that can cause wear on bracelet links.

I've been wearing my sub daily for 5 years. Yeah, if I look closely I can see a million scratches on the polished surfaces and sleeve polish on the brushed surfaces. But from normal viewing distances (Like a foot away) it looks identical to when I got it.
