That's what I was thinking too.

On my 228206 (the one that was stolen) I never removed any links it fit me fine.

However on my meteorite 116509, I had them adjust the bracelet clasp (did not remove any links).

On some of my Rolexes one link has been removed.

I am not a huge guy but I have solid wrists, maybe from years and years of wrist exercises while weight lifting.


Anyway, losing the links...definitely a tragedy. But not a Greek one! (Losing the entire watch, as I did, now that's closer to Greek.)

So, look on the bright side of that you lost the links versus the watch!


As far as replacing the links, you'll need to buy them one at a time from gray market watch dealers. Some of them deliberately remove one link every time they sell a watch. They disclose the -1 but somehow it's worth it to them as they off the link separately, and the buyer doesn't discount the purchase price much. The price such dealers will sell you a link for will be below Rolex retail. There is one in particular I can think of on Moda who is known for that.
