As a musician, ok, bass player, I always thought if you were in a bar cigarette smoke is just something you had to deal with. When the laws were changed I was amazed how much nicer it was. In the summer especially the stench of the of the 2nd hand smoke would permeate your clothes & equipment to the point of being nauseating.

It seems the only people that benefit from smoking and drinking Jack Daniels is that they get that beautiful raspy voice that everyone loves to hear from a singer.
