I wore it a lot, and loved it.
But I always felt like I preferred it in photographs or in the mirror compared to how it looks when on my own wrist.
The way we see a watch on our own wrist at 18 inches is very different to how we see the same watch on somebody else’s wrist at 6 feet away. ( or your own watch in a stand up mirror )
I think if my wrist was larger than 7 1/4 inches I’d probably still be wearing the MKII. The 124270 is definitely on the small side and if I wasn’t into the vintage sizing I wouldn’t have bought it when I first tired it in and was accustomed to the larger size on wrist.
On my wrist the 40mm Explorer felt enormous ….. I definitely preferred the MKII .
