'My' old Breguet Sympathique

Created by THA, the timepiece design group owned by FP Journe and Vianney Halter, Breguet made about twenty of these, in many variations. #1 had a solid gold case, and was auctioned off for charity. They had previously made a different version for Asprey of London in very limited production.

The interesting fact about these Sympathiques is that when the watch is in it's place at the top, the crown is engaged by the clock and the watch is wound and the time corrected if it's within plus/minus 5 minutes.

I had personal care of this for a long time until it was finally sold. During my stewardship it went back twice to Breguet for servicing-and carried and with its own airplane seat.

Watch has a regulator dial, power reserve indicator, and tourbillion. 8 Day clock has full calendar, equation of time, thermometer in Celsius, and 8 Day Power Reserve indicator, and a spring detent escapement with double helical gold hairsprings.
