I started running again about a month ago after 7 years break (lost my motivation during my military service in 2004). Started slow with 5 km (around 3 miles) runs at 5:30 - 6:00 minutes per km. Now I've doubled the distance and seem to be going ok at the same pace. I'm trying to achieve 2 hours on a half marathon this autumn.

It really makes me feel great to run, and starting slow and building my stamina bit by bit helps maintain the motivation without the urge to stop and vomit :) I also recommend On Running Cloudsurfers, the best shoe I've tried for a guy with a lighter frame.

E: Oh, and my training schedule. I try to run 3 miles / day 3 times a week, and a 6-7 mile stretch on weekend. When I'm feeling easier with this, I have to try with the full 12 miles :)
