I said that before they released iOS 5.
iOS5 is a new operating system for the iPad and as such it will have teething problems. I wouldn't worry too much about it. These things take time and there will hopefully be an OS update to remedy the apparent memory management problem.
In the meantime I would suggest that you use the quick reply box at the bottom of the thread page. That should enable you to participate without the Browser unexpectedly closing.
