There is sure nothing wrong in buying and using fine quality Fountain pens. Just make certain it feels good and comfortable in your hand(wife's hand)when you are using it(I too like and use the smaller MB fountain pens). As 2careless stated, if it is not comfortable...she will be less inclined to use it. There are also many other fine brands so I would suggest you have your lady test drive them as well. But I do really like MontBlanc fountain pens and carry and use two everyday. One is filled with MB's Oyster Gray ink and the other is filled with MB's Bordeaux.......
