Not sure how long you have wanted to buy your Patek, and saved up to buy it. For most people there is a long "want" and "wait" period. Of course, "long" is different for everybody.

A Patek is special. Buy the one you really want. When you decide to buy a Patek, you have already decided to not settle for anything but the best. Since you are now buying your Patek, don't settle for anything except the one you really really want.

The jump from $30,000 to $50,000 may be a big one in terms of percentage, but not insurmountable in $ terms. If you had a budget of $30,000 and wanted a $100,000 watch, then perhaps one would have to look at things differently. I write this without knowing any thing about you or your financial situation so I hope I have not caused any offense. Since this is the Patek forum and you are willing to spend $30,000 on a watch, I can only surmise that you know watches and that you have budget things accordingly.
