Retired cop here. My entire career spent in patrol. I wore a rubber watch at work. In my department personal items (i.e sunglasses/watches) that were damaged or lost on duty say in a fight or a foot pursuit were reimbursed at a maximum of $35.00.


Kinda made me want to keep the Rolex at home.
