BTW, my parents have a Greyhound. He was rescued from destruction in FLA (where he raced). Nice dogs but freakin' HUGE! Good thing is they are lazy and like to sleep alot. However, they were told to never let him off the leash cuz once he starts running, we'll never see him again.
I good compromise is an Italian Whippet. Same body shape but about 1/3 the size.
Personally I want a Weimaraner... but not until C is a fair bit older (i.e., old enough to walk the damn thing when I am still in bed.
