I know it's not cool or fancy but it fits in my pants pocket and is handy to carry anywhere.
In fact I have a theory. Since I started carrying my own pen I no longer use the public pen at the bank teller, gas station or post office. I didn't get sick this winter either (Knock wood).
I'm no germ-o-phobe but I wonder if there is any correlation between health and not using the same pen as every other runny nosed person at the bank window.

I bought a space pen for my wife a few years ago. She loved it. It always rode in her purse. After a while she lost it so I bought another. You're right , nothing fancy but it does it's job well.
