The first nice pen i've ever gotten was a Mont Blanc and its been 8 years and i still have it. Its a great starter/seasoned pen collector as the brand is world known and you'll never feel the need to get something else.

As well as people recognized the brand which kind of makes you feel good when someone mentions they like your pen.
