What you guys dont realize there are quite a lot of mechanical parts in any analog quartz watch.Take say the Rolex OQ the drive train is exactly the same as used in the cal 3035 mechanical watches.And the quartz movement was more expensive than the mechanical movement to replace back then.Its not a digital movement like say on the LCD range of quartz watches. On analog quartz the mainspring is the battery the escapement quartz the rest all mechanical but agree like all so called high end watches costly to service.
