I think Bill's point is justified. If someone uses open ended words in a post such as, "my asking price is let's say 4400." You are asking to get silly offers.
Or if you say. Wire only..and someone says send me a paypal invoice then it's like they did not read the post. That's the irritating stuff to me.
Fine lines though. Listed price is 6K and you offer 5600. Very reasonable. If someone says a firm price. I do not offer.

I sold a 1016 a while back and received an offer of $2400...that was not from a new member either..
