After lusting for years for the blue/black GMT, I finally got one. I traded in a finicky Patek Aquanaut for the Rolex. It joins a President and a DateJust and one remaining Patek.
I did a lot of research on the GMT before I made the final decision.
Your review was the deciding factor. It's a great review and I would agree with your conclusions. I did have to do a lot of Youtube watching before I found a usable tutorial on setting the watch. Getting the date, time, and the blue hand all set isn't as simple as my other watches. I guess that's why I don't own and watches with a lot of complications.
I knew, going in, that the shiny parts of the bracelet would get scratched. I guess that's the ugly side of real life.
I think the GMT will become my daily wear.
