My advice would be to find a trusty watchmaker and pay 50 bucks to get the watch polished and looking like new. That will probably bring you the 1300.
If you sell it like that, you'll probably get 1000, maybe 1100.

It's just like a car. Always wax it and detail it before you sell it. We are visual people and the outer appearance means almost everything.
