I would do it only because I'm not a fan of the 5712 either. The 5960p on the other hand man... what a great looking watch especially in blue. I would get the blue if I were you since it seems that's what you really like. I think your itch will stay even if you got the gray and end up flipping for the blue and losing even more money. Just my 2 cents.
