I do all my journaling on clairefontaine and it's been great. I use Rhodia at work. No problems with either. Shimmering inks might be a little better on Rhodia. Rhodia seems to show the high saturation reds highlights in some inks better like J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor and Diamine Sargasso Sea.
