I graduated from the divers institute in Seattle many moons ago, well before the fashion "orange bezels" And the reason the bezel is orange is not just for fashion. Believe it or not at depths of 300ft and greater that particular shade of orange is the only color in the spectrum that is visible through the divers bell" or helmet while arch welding at those depths.. the weld arch throws off a high blue arc....similar if you where to stare at the sun...that orange is still visible at those depths for the diver to see his time and limits.
