Absolutely right. This is a matter of opinion, so there is no right or wrong answer. I think a lot of people do feel as you do, which is probably why Seiko removed the Seiko logo from the dials of Grand Seikos.
I happen to love my GS and I actually feel like I got more than I paid for, but not everyone will feel that way. If everyone agreed, there would be no discussion!
