Patek's platinum case finishing

Hello Everyone,

i was wondering did anyone also noticed that the polishing finishing on the platinum cases are different then the gold versions ? Especially on some of the cases with sharper lines/angels like the 5070 and 5975 cases.

Here you see a big difference on the WG and PT versions of the 5070. The PT even looks like a polished used case compared to the WG. You can notice this on every picture of the 5070P comparing with the gold versions.

And here a comparison of the 5975P with the 5975G also less " sharp" polished.

But if you compare it with Rolex Platinum versions, for example the Platinum Daytona compared with the WG version. The PT Daytona even looks to be beter finished then the gold versions.

Maybe this has something to do with the hand finishing of the cases at Patek ? Because platinum is very hard to work with. But for a brand like Patek and the money you spent on the PT versions, you would think of a better finishing if the cases ?

Still love the brand and most of the time the platinum versions of course but this is something i noticed and never see it being discussed.

Cheers
