"Hairspring" Watch timing app

Just downloaded the Hairspring app from the iTunes Store, I'm quite impressed with how accurate it is for a £4 app it measured my GMT at +1.1 secs/day I know it is currently running at +1s/d as it was checked at my local AD last weekend.
I know it doesn't replace a proper timing machine but for a quick check it isn't bad. And it can save each test done so you can keep an eye on your watches inner health.
Anyone else had experience of using it and is there any similar apps that you use.

As a side note I did research the effects of magnetising my watch, and while the chances are slim I have also obtained a demagnetiser just in case.
