This begs the question with even smaller brands like RM. Its hot right now with even smaller production and even smaller amount of buyers so its actually quite a dangerous position to be in... It only takes a few dozen people to get bored move on and the whole thing falls apart.

The Nautilus may be hyped but so is RM and id feel more secure being a nautilus owner in this market.
totally agree. seasoned collectors have told me they have never seen such frenzy for the nautilus before so of course expect it to eventually die down. but of course with patek's stature/history and production numbers/demand, we have to be realistic that some models like the 5711A blue dial will seemingly ALWAYS trade for higher than retail, just prob not this much higher.
