I like the 904, the dial is awesome. The size and case style are nice too. I've considered one, it fits nice and thin, and I don't care about the water resistance.
I've had a standard 44mm Luminor in the past (PAM176) and although it wore large, I really like it, and miss it. The 904 is much different, much smaller and thinner on the wrist.
I much prefer the luminor case with the crown guard, over the radiomir cases. So, while I'd love to get another 44mm Panerai, I would love to get a 904 also, for something a little smaller and more refined.
They are both great, and quite different.
