Well, I am assuming that original buyer at least
showed an employee the watch. I think it's reasonable enough that someone who doesn't know watches would think that a "busted" Rolex is worth just as little as any other broken and beat-up watch. Not out of the realm of possibility to think that a watch in that
visual condition is "junk" regardless.
