It’s funny, I remember during the financial meltdown Tim Geithner, Hank Paulson, and George Bush all wore pedestrian watches under their suits.
Geithner wears a Timex Triathlon. George Bush wore a Timex Indeglo. And Paulson wore a Nike sport watch. All with plastic/rubber straps.
There is no problem wearing a rubber strap under more dressy clothing now. But I would find it weird under a tux.
