Thanks to everyone for their input and all the information. And yes that is the watch on Ebay.

I love the enthusiasm and knowledge you all have for Rolex's and watches. The truth is that while I can appreciate it, it is not something I connect to. I do not even ever wear a watch, depending instead on my cell phone for the current time.

The watch sat in a case for almost 25 years virtually untouched. I'm 45, I don't have kids to pass it down to and thought maybe someone else could enjoy it, and with the economy the way it is I could use the extra cash.

As for the sentimental value, I do have several things that did belong to my Grandfather that do connect me to him, so while I can relate to that aspect, this particular item does not hold that for me.

Thanks again for all your knowledge and for allowing me to briefly share your love for Rolex. I hope whoever ends up buying it will get as much joy from it.
