Not sure about the first part because my understanding is Tudor outsources their movements from ETA. As for the second part I guess it is an acknowledgement that Rolex is no longer an affordable tool.
But yes, there generally is a lot of love here for Tudor, and discussion activity has definitely picked up with them coming back on sale in the USA.
