Absolutely gorgeous pen.
In my never to be humble opinion, ink it and enjoy! You will find yourself being very careful so I don't have much fear that you will have anything horrible happen to it. Life is too short to not enjoy the things you have worked for.
I remember when I purchased my first Montblanc Agatha Christie Vermeil. It has sold on Ebay for $4000.00 in the past. It is such a gorgeous pen and I, like you, fought with myself about using it. Then after I did I was very glad. Still am today.
Congratulations!!! And you even got one with the correct father's signature and not the one with the sons!
