A related vintage thread inquires as to the year of the first 1680. There is an excellent chance that the complication may have been adjusted at Geneva for the first few in-house watches. Cold hard evidence is lacking short of a serial number review for every 1680 made by Rolex. The first 1680 was probably a red Submariner, and the UNOFFICIAL evidence points to 1969.
