If the maths stacks up, then absolutely – on the assumption you feel that the 5712 offers more than each of the other three.
If you need something to tide you over whilst the Patek is away for service, then get your name down for the (pseudo Kermit) Harrods Green Tudor BB, or a nice (discontinued) Chopard LUC Sport 2000/Pro One.
I wouldn’t worry about others’ views regarding putting those three on the chopping block – some of us look forward, never backward, and it’s a case of “been there, done that…”
