I understand your dilemma. I like both watches. For me the 116500 is a practical every day proposition whereas the 1680 is something I would only wear when I know it is not going to get knocked around. I have the Daytona and have a 1680 incoming (with service dial). I know the 1680 is going to get way less wrist time and I find vintage pieces a liability to own if used a lot. I know people are going to disagree with this but that's my opinion. Anyway I would find it very difficult to part with your Sub. I hope whatever you decide makes you happy.
