Projecting the rate is skewed because many deaths were recorded for people with pre-existing conditions, and/or compromised immunity. In other words the infected patients weren’t a cohort representing the demographics of the population. This creates a sampling error in any projections some people have made.
right, as I understand it, 10 of the deaths were in the same nursing home. Safe to assume that these people had compromised immune systems? I would guess so.
