dealers were hoarding them every year in anticipation of it being discontinued and to be able to cash out. i don't really think there will be a lot of them around once the dust settles

Most Royal oaks aren’t rare despite APs “limited” production numbers. It is not hard to source one and there are thousands available online. What is rare is getting one at retail.
Look at the hulk — discontinued for how long now and there is no shortage of them avail (some brand new).
