Sorry to hear, OP... I would be royally pissed. Though, this above is sound advice. This is in a way, an opportunity. Let them know that you are pissed, cordial but firm, and give them an opportunity to make it right.
If they are good people, they will work with you. If not, they don’t deserve your money. Nor, the money of any of your friends after you tell them about the terrible experience.
