Hey I had this happen to my datejust right after I brought it "second hand" from the 1st owner....took it to the RSC and they removed it and gave it back to me "had a seat and looked at some very nice mags and catalogs :-) when they gave it back said it most likely fell through when I opened the crown "the dust may have fell in that way" but it was free of charge "they were really nice and told me if I let it sit around for a long time without use before openeing the crown wipe or blow it off around the crown to make sure theres no foriegn objects round ...... ha ha ha ha
