On a side note, is there a difference between an Explorer ll and a GMT ll. It seems the difference is just in appearance. Is that the only difference between the two, looks. Is the movement the same.
They're not quite the same...

The GMT II 11671x uses the Cal. 3186 with the Parachrom Bleu hairspring but with the outsourced (from the Swatch Group) KIF shock protection system while the Explorer II uses the Cal. 3187 that has the inhouse Parachrom Bleu hairspring AND the inhouse Paraflex shock system....

The Cal. 3187 has a larger main plate than the Cal. 3186, too (see exact measures in my review of the Explorer II 216570).

MAIN difference is that is the GMT II - via the rotatable bezel - is able to track THREE time zones while the Explorer II - due to the fixed bezel - is "only" able to keep track on TWO time zones at a time.....
