Dials depend on the mark on which ones bubble and which will evenly turn matte. It's about 50/50 or less on which turn matte without degradation. My last 16760 was perfectly matte. And, it had its original chamfers.

They must have been pretty fat lugs from new since the fat lugs I see on vintage FLs don’t have a chamfer.

I see the faint hint of a chamfer in these photos. Was your watch like this when new?
