Have had a Planet Ocean 2500D for twelve years or so, never a problem. It was my daily watch for about four years, now I put it on once a month or so, never hard wear.
Have not had it serviced ever, asked my AD, he said until it shows signs of running poorly, don’t bother. Still within spec, and it looks great. Hope you sort yours out.
