ETF = Emergency Task Force in Toronto. The link here is a show that goes into details about how the unit works - great show and I saw it on TV a couple of weeks back and meant to dig up the links for it.

In part 3 they show an incident that happened in Toronto where a man took a hostage downtown after shooting his wife in one of the underground malls. They had to kill the man, and since it went on for some time it was caught on the live TV coverage that day - many people were shocked at what they saw. The shot is shown in the first 2 minutes of the Part 3 segment on the right side of the page.

Warning - some graphic content!

They did blur some of the footage, but it's pretty obvious that they guy was dead before he hit the ground. Quite a job these guys do!
