Quite a cautionary tale. Whilst we all love the idea of wearing the original vintage bracelet, many are beyond their optimal functional lifespan. My watchmaker routinely takes macro shots of the connectors and clasp prongs of my old 7206s or 9315s to evaluate for possible failure points. Sometimes these can be laser welded, but often not.
