So if you wish to post 20mb or 5000 pixel wide photographs then use the [IMG] tag and they will automatically be downsized. On the other hand if you want the forum to host your photos reduce the photographs size to 100kb and 1050 pixels wide and then upload and insert it into your post.
The forum just doesn't have the resources or facility to host 20mb photos from everyone as you can well imagine the storage space that would occupy.
At the end of the day you have the choice so you can achieve what you desire.

Which size triggers the block on the hosted image, kb or pixels? I've been around 750 pixels on the long side and blocked. Should I force both pixels and kb to resize?
