Need a little help please.

Long story short, my nephew, Ben has been left a watch, he has recently got into watches and bought his first "good watch."

This was left to him by Uncle Alwyn, we will get it cleaned up for him and sent to a watch repairer to get it running as well as it can. I wonder if anyone can give any info please? Do not need a "what it's worth" this is a keeper and if it costs more to get it cleaned and running than it is worth, then so be it. I wonder if anyone could add some information please.

Heres the e mail from Ben, I wont tell his mum about the spelling mistakes. (Because I'm just as bad).

Hi Uncle Dave I’ve had a little look about the watch and found out it’s an automatic watch from the 1960s, I wound it up and found out it looses a lot of time. In fact it probly runs at about half speed and I’m not sure why. Also I think it’s in the wrong box as it says quartz and has a receipt from 1979 inside. Hopefully you could find out a little more about it.

Ben

I have tried to enhance the photos as much as I can.
