Patients may present primarily with the following ,WITHOUT lung symptoms :
Strokes
Seizures
Encephalitis
Myocardial inarction
Acute Renal injury .
Hypercoagulation (bloodclots) is very common so all ICU patients receive anti-coagulation .
In our ICUs the "Deadly Triad" is :
Diabetes
Obesity
Hypertension
